The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce's Annual Banquet is a formal event with hundreds of guests. With a theme like "Blast Off!", it can be difficult to maintain that formal tone. For the invitation and program, we opted to ditch the rocket in favor of stock art of an artistic representation of a supernova. I used a deceptively elaborate treatment on the text to make it appear as if it is a part of the supernova, giving off a pink and purple glow to match the surrounding gasses. I also chose to customize pieces of the same illustration for the inside and back pages.
