Power to the People: Mexican Prints from the Great War to the Cold War
Exhibit Booklet
Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art

This booklet is designed as a companion piece for a traveling art exhibit. An expanded version will be completed at a later date for use by the Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery, exhibiting the same artwork. Featured artwork provides a powerful portrait of the Mexican working class during times of revolution and poverty. The layout of this version of the booklet is designed to save space. The layout incorporates the images within the text without captioning, utilizing the full width of the page. The use of single column or split column layouts provides distinction between introductory text about the movement and text about the artists and their art. The inside covers provide bookends of expanded artwork detail, taking the place of an elaborate introduction and conclusion. The art speaks for itself.
